About this tool

Bundle files into a single ZIP archive. Add them, choose how hard to compress, and download the result. Duplicate names are kept apart rather than overwritten, file dates are preserved unless you ask for them to be dropped, and the tool tells you how much smaller the archive turned out. Up to 200 files and 10 MB.

Helpful answers

Using this tool

Which compression setting should I use?

Normal suits almost everything. Choose Maximum for text, code and logs, where it makes a real difference. Choose None for photos, video and PDFs — those are already compressed, and squeezing them again costs time for roughly nothing.

Can I add a folder?

Not by dropping one. Open the folder and drop the files inside it. Every file is stored at the top level of the archive, and two files with the same name are kept apart by numbering the second.

Can I password protect the archive?

No. ZIP encryption is either the original scheme, which is broken, or AES, which unpackers support inconsistently. A tool that offered it here would be selling protection it cannot guarantee.

Where are my files while this happens?

On your computer. The archive is built inside this page by your own browser and handed straight to your downloads folder — nothing is sent anywhere.
