About this tool

Combine photographs, screenshots or scanned pages into a single PDF. Put the images in the order you want, choose A4, Letter or a page cut to fit each picture, and download the document. PNG and ordinary JPEG go in untouched at their original quality; WebP, GIF and BMP are redrawn because PDF cannot carry those formats. Up to 20 images, 10 MB in total.

Helpful answers

Using this tool

Does it re-compress my photos?

Not if they are PNG or ordinary JPEG — those are placed in the document byte for byte, so nothing is lost. WebP, GIF, BMP and progressive JPEG have to be redrawn, because the PDF format cannot store them; the tool says which files that applied to.

What page size should I choose?

"Fit the page to each image" gives a document with no white space, which suits screenshots and receipts. Pick A4 or Letter when the result has to print on paper, and each image is centred and scaled down to fit inside the margin.

Why is there a megapixel limit?

A decoded image costs four bytes for every pixel regardless of how small the file is, so an 8 megapixel photo is 32 MB of memory while it is being placed. The limit is what keeps this working on a phone rather than crashing the tab.

Are the images uploaded?

No. The document is assembled by your own browser on this page, which is why holiday photos and scanned paperwork are equally safe to use here.
