About this tool
Trim an image to the part you want by typing the numbers: the left and top offset, then the width and height. A live preview shades everything outside the crop so you can see what you are keeping, and a ratio can be locked — square, 16:9, 4:3 and the rest — with the remaining side worked out for you. Because the crop is defined by four fields rather than a drag handle, it can be typed exactly, reached with the keyboard and matched to a specification. Save the result as PNG, JPEG or WebP.

Why type numbers instead of dragging a box?
Because a crop that has to match a specification — a 1200 × 630 preview card, a 500-pixel-square avatar — is faster and more accurate typed than dragged, and typed fields work with a keyboard and a screen reader. The preview is there to confirm the numbers rather than to replace them.
What do the four numbers mean?
Left and Top are where the crop starts, measured in pixels from the top-left corner of the image. Width and Height are how much to keep from there. So 0, 0, 100, 100 keeps the top-left hundred-pixel square.
What happens if my crop runs off the edge?
It is pulled back inside the image and you are told exactly what moved — the tool never quietly produces a smaller crop than you asked for without saying so.
Does cropping reduce the quality of the image?
Cropping itself only discards the pixels outside the box; the ones you keep are untouched. Saving as JPEG or WebP afterwards re-encodes them, which costs a little quality. Save as PNG if you need the remaining pixels exact.
Can I crop a photo straight from my phone?
Use a JPEG or PNG export. HEIC input is not accepted because its dimensions cannot be checked before decoding by this tool.
