About this tool
Type or paste what the code should carry — a web address, a phone number, a Wi-Fi password, a few lines of text — and get a QR code you can save as a PNG at an exact pixel size or as an SVG that stays sharp at any size. The error correction level, the colours and the quiet zone are all yours to set, and the tool warns you when a choice would produce a code that looks right but will not scan: too little contrast, an inverted code, or a quiet zone too small for a reader to find the edge.

Will the code expire or stop working?
No. The image contains the text itself, not a link back to us, so there is nothing to expire, no redirect to go down and no tracking. Many "free" QR generators give you a short link to their own site that they can disable or start charging for later; this one cannot.
Which error correction level should I choose?
Medium for anything on a screen or a clean printed page. Quartile or High if the code will be small, curved, laminated, printed on fabric, or partly covered by a logo — the higher the level, the more of the code can be damaged and still read, at the cost of a denser image.
How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
Encode the text WIFI:T:WPA;S:YourNetworkName;P:YourPassword;; exactly as written, replacing the network name and password. Phones recognise that format and offer to join. Remember that anyone who can see the printed code can read the password.
Why is there a white border I cannot remove?
That is the quiet zone, and the specification requires four blank modules on every side. Scanners use it to find where the code starts. You can widen it here, but not remove it, because a code without one frequently fails to read against a busy background.
Can I put a logo in the middle?
Not in this tool. If you plan to, generate at High error correction, cover no more than about a fifth of the code, and test the result with two or three different phones before printing it.
How much text fits?
This tool stops at 1,200 characters. The format technically holds more, but past that point the code becomes so dense that phone cameras stop reading it reliably. For anything longer, publish the text and encode the link.
